Associate Editor

Godfrey Dadich Partners combines the best of advertising, journalism, identity, and digital to help brands tell better stories. We are looking for an associate editor to add to our editorial team of journalists and non-fiction storytellers.

This person must have the tenacity and drive to find, research, and tell great stories. Ideally this person comes from a journalism background and is as comfortable interviewing high-profile subjects as they are shaping and tightening sentences and paragraphs. Agency experience or experience working with clients is a plus.  This person must be able to write and edit on deadline, and be prepared to help with every element of story creation from finding topics to fact checking the final draft. A can do attitude, problem solving skills, and an excitement to work in an all new kind of company are musts.

  • Research and help with the creation of journalism-style feature stories for clients and partners.
  • Report, write, and edit supporting stories and sidebars.
  • Conduct interviews and help fact check stories.
  • Help clients find stories and ideas that resonate with them.
  • Help track and organize editorial story calendar.
  • Attend and actively participate in editorial meetings.
  • Contribute research and ideas to the creation of podcasts, tv shows, and documentary films.
  • Regularly communicate status updates with internal teams and client contacts

Qualifications include:

  • Journalism experience preferred.
  • Highly collaborative, resourceful and motivated, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who moves projects forward.
  • Excellent research and interviewing skills—must be able to dig out the facts as well as collect and synthesize ideas and trends.
  • Strong writing skills; must have the ability to craft a narrative and write with attitude and voice.
  • Strong editing skills; must be able to help outside writers improve their work
  • Great communications skills; must be able to present themselves in a professional manner with clients.
  • Strong comfort level and flexibility for an organic and iterative editorial process
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Keynote a plus
