Associate Media Director

Godfrey Dadich combines the best of marketing, design, and journalism to help brands deliver better experiences. 

The role requires a deep level of commitment to support our current roster of global clients while developing media strategies that attract new partners. You will also work closely with our publishing partners to build strong partnerships and differentiated content distribution and measurement programs, and ensure our clients are aware of all media opportunities that will amplify their messages.

This is a San Francisco-based role.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, plan, and execute large custom programs, helping to shape campaign media strategy across a variety of channels
  • Create and represent media recommendations, including new ideas, to both internal teams and clients alike
  • Collaborate with the internal strategy team and external clients to define KPIs to track campaign effectiveness and overall success; present plan optimizations to clients during analytics meetings or as needed
  • Manage day-to-day contact with clients; build close client connections (a more traditional account function), and provide broad and specific media answers, direction, POVs, and project updates as requested
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client businesses and the market challenges they face
  • Keep up to date with the latest media trends, providing POVs when applicable
  • Work closely with and help inspire Creative teams to develop engaging content for our audiences
  • Develop/maintain relationships with media partners, negotiating rates, and developing new opportunities
  • Effectively present ideas or solutions internally/externally with an ability to command attention and manage group dynamics through compelling communications
  • Proactively support the development of planners and assistant planners to enhance skills and enable them to reach their full potential
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments

Qualifications include:

  • BA or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years of media planning across all formats or equivalent business experience
  • Experienced in content partnerships and publisher/client joint business plans, programmatic, and audience-based planning and buying
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid financial acumen and business expertise
