Social Media Producer

Godfrey Dadich Partners (GDP) combines the best of journalism, strategy, and design into The New Editorial. And we’re looking for a Social Media Producer to join our growing team. Godfrey Dadich Partners is looking for a passionate visual storyteller and skilled writer who knows how to build an engaging social media presence on multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is highly industrious, creative, and process-oriented. Previous experience in an editorial environment or client-facing role is helpful but not required.

This person will work across departments to oversee GDP’s own social presence—one of the primary ways we showcase our work, share our point of view, promote our many services, and give a taste of our unique and creative workplace culture. Crafting engaging and beautiful social content for our constantly expanding online audience is a vital part of any modern communications strategy, and core to our mission of helping reach and engage audiences with The New Editorial.

The person who manages our social media will work closely with our editorial and creative teams to ideate, produce, and publish compelling narratives about GDP and our clients across multiple platforms. In addition, this person will have opportunities to engage directly with clients seeking support with social media strategy. This role is open to candidates based out of both New York City and San Francisco. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee GDP social channels and processes
  • Develop and execute social campaigns, franchises, and strategies for GDP
  • Develop and execute a limited number of social posts, stories, and strategies for GDP co-CEOs and leadership
  • Resource, assign, and shape creative; act as the primary copywriter for the majority of social posts
  • Build robust and efficient processes for executing a monthly social calendar within a broader editorial framework; this includes planning, conception, and scheduling across all of the above responsibilities
  • Manage reviews and approvals with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with PR, editorial, and account team leads to stay on top of new work and firm announcements
  • Execute all posting; engage with our audience as appropriate and manage comment hygiene
  • Track and distill analytics, providing insights, audits, and recommendations
  • Stay up to date with market trends and algorithm changes
  • Opportunity to engage directly with GDP clients to audit, conceive, develop, and execute social campaigns, franchises, and strategies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of Community/Social Media Management
  • Strong understanding of social media channels, content development, and social analysis
  • Effective project management skills
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and partnerships across levels
  • Forward-thinking, well-organized, and has an obsession for detail
  • Experience working together with internal creative teams and cross-functional departments
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and Keynote
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and flexibility to shift projects as priorities change
