Deputy to CEO (Executive Assistant)

Godfrey Dadich Partners (GDP) combines the best of journalism, strategy, and design into The New Editorial. And we’re looking for a Deputy to CEO (Executive Assistant) to join our growing team.

The Deputy to CEO will be at the center of the action in the firm, leading GDP’s administrative duties and light office management. The Deputy to CEO's role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical talent, and the ability to influence through respect and trust. This role will work closely with the firm’s other Partners and management team to ensure the business runs smoothly. 

The right candidate can autonomously execute and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Deputy to CEO is both a strategic and tactical, hands-on role directly reporting to our co-CEO, Scott Dadich. You will wear many different hats during the workday and must handle multiple projects at once, from creating plans to following up with executives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and managing the CEO weekly calendar while keeping track of multiple projects simultaneously and mapping the next 30-60-90-day planning horizons
  • Partnering with project and account management for meeting set-up for client engagements
  • Managing travel and client entertainment bookings, accommodations, and expenses for the CEO
  • Helping to manage communications with regard to internal meetings, new business, and existing client relationships
  • Carrying out other duties as necessary, which may include tasks such as event planning and coordination, filing, client correspondence, research, and making phone calls
  • Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients, and other external partners
  • Coordinate with partnership and project managers on company-wide meetings/All-Hands
  • Help leader identify priorities, strategically align his/her time with those, and revisit them regularly to assess progress
  • Bridging the gap between personal and professional obligations to facilitate best use of the CEO’s time and attention
  • Over time, develop into the role of key thought partner who brainstorms & identifies solutions to challenges
  • Willingness to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company and its staff members

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience in administrative or executive management
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to synthesize and manage large quantities of highly dynamic data and inputs
  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment that will require a high degree of mental, social, and emotional agility; no two days or hours are the same
  • A natural and confident leader; self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Strategic thinker, data-driven, and analytical in approach to solving problems
  • Comfortable behind the stage, supporting the person in the spotlight; thrives on helping others be their best selves and anticipating their needs before they are spoken
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying departments
  • Highly experienced in project coordination and management
  • An ability and desire to be active in the job beyond the traditional 9a-6p workday
  • Trustworthy and reliable with confidential communications and financials
  • World-class verbal and written communication and presentation skills; an ability to create and present effective reports and create keynote documents
  • Interest in and excitement for the work GDP is pioneering in media, communications, design, and strategy
